The last morning of the Championship
The last day of the SB20 World Championship has come. For now, there are five races finished during the whole tournament. If today the weather will be good, organizers are going to increase races number by 2 or 3 starts. Right now the Race Committee members, the International Jury members and racers are going to the distance area. Start of the first race is scheduled at 10:00 a.m., but the exact time of it will be determined by the wind presence.
The Principal Race Officer Hans Piter Hylander:
– Let it be no wind for now, but we decided to let yachtsmen go on the water. If luck will be with us, we handle one or two races, it depends on wind condition. What about the last race, according to the Notice of the Race we won’t give a start after 14:00.
The Race Officer at finish Vladimir Komel:
– Today is a very important day – races results can affect final standings of leaders in the top five. The decision about starting will be taken when sportsmen are on the water. If an unpredictable wind comes, like it was yesterday, we will do our best to handle the highest possible number of races. It is a complicated objective for us and for sportsmen, but I hope everything will turn out!
